How Could You Know

about

'How Could You Know' was created, from start to finish, in a matter of less than 3 weeks and is an exercise in battling perfectionism.
The track is meant to be a snarky response to the people in the world who attempt to control others and is a mix of my grunge roots meets my love of techno and dance-pop music.
A quick and to-the-point track, the lyrics provided catharsis and vocals gave space to be angry.

lyrics

what can be done to save a world that can't be saved?
always flirting with the ending the beginning way;
make excuses for the ones who cause the pain;
demonize the innocent, just the same.
Hold your book up in the air like it saves you;
but when there's nobody left who will you blame?

You gotta look in the mirror; see the truth
You gotta look in the mirror; see the problem is you
We gotta look in the mirror

You like to gaslight, like to feel right,
cause a real big fight
show 'em your 'righteous mighty-might'
but your weakness is thinking that you know god
silly man, how could you know?
When you think so small.
Bound by a box of your limited thoughts you gotta
bring us down because you can't get up
because you believe everything that you're told

believe everything that you're told

Stories of fiction were written for control to keep you
in the dark about the things you should know.
Like: mistreating others in the name of a god
while pointing their fingers at the ones in the mud

You like to gaslight, like to feel right,
cause a real big fight
show 'em your 'righteous mighty-might'
but your weakness is thinking that you know god
silly man, how could you know?
When you think so small.
Bound by a box of your limited thoughts you gotta
bring us down because you can't get up
Because you won't love anything you don't know

No you won't love anything you don't know
